West Midlands Paraclimbing club was founded in 2017 by Tigs and Sophie Campbell, who wanted to provide a safe and accessible way for disabled people to climb.
Our aim is to provide an accessible and inclusive space for people with disabilities to access the wonderful sport of climbing. It can have so many benefits for everyone with disabilities, including the social aspect, keeping fit, helping with muscle development and coordination (and more!).
We know that climbing isn’t usually the most accessible sport but we are an open-minded group of volunteers who are passionate about supporting you and working around your condition to enable you to climb. Whether you have a physical condition or mental health condition, we can help you! You don’t need to have climbed before, we cater for brand new climbers to well-experienced climbers, whatever you have done before we would love for you to join us.
We really encourage independent climbing so you can climb wherever best suits you. It is great to have parent/carer/siblings getting involved too. We can get you climbing indoors, or even outdoors if you would like! The opportunities are endless.

We are always looking for new volunteers! Sessions are on a Wednesday from 3:15-6:30pm in Birmingham. We appreciate not everyone can get there for that time though so can be flexible with starting times. Please share this with friends and family, as the club is growing it is getting difficult to manage with the current number of volunteers.
Please do contact us if you have any questions, we are happy to help/advise!
